Tendering itself is fine. Surprise tendering is what hurts. Built tender ports reward early decisions and flexible returns.

What tendering changes

You lose fixed pier-side timing. Lines can add 45–90 minutes each way on peak days.

Independent plans need tighter geography. Long coach rides from tender landings must still include re-tender risk.

Read the destination site’s tender notes for that port the evening before. Weather can convert a docked call into a tender at short notice.

Use Find my cruise to map a specific ship and sailing window, then open each port’s own site for excursions.
